The Silent Mindfulness Day Retreat is an incredible way to get away from from the busy, often chaotic and sometimes stressful lives we lead. This is a day, where no body wants anything from you, there is nothing for you to do, a time to sit with your own thoughts, as they are in this moment, and the next and the next…..
It is a moment’s respite, when we can come off the treadmill, take some time out to re-connect with our Selves and rejuvenate.
The Days are lead by Katrina Stevens, Mindfulness teacher, Refexologist and Massage Therapist.
We will also be treated to a nutritious vegetarian lunch.
So what happens on a silent day retreat?
We conduct ourselves mostly in silence, Katrina will speak of course to lead sessions. This may seem a bit daunting at first, but I cannot begin to express how therapeutic it is. On occasions you may not want to speak when silence ended.
The day is structured to include various mindfulness exercises and guided meditations, mindful stretching, walking meditations with group discussions at the end of the day.
Who is the day aimed at?
Generally people who attend the day have dome some mindfulness practice before. That can be a course, such as our 4 week course, an 8 week MBCT or MBSR course, or perhaps you regularly use an app such as Headspace, during Yoga or just your own practice.
The day runs from 10:00 – 16:00hrs and is held at The Upper Saxondale Community Hall, Serpentine Close, Saxondale, Nottingham NG12 2NS
